One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

The Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) is both the explainer of and the commentator on the book of God. If the Quran is going to remain eternal until the Day of Judgment-since it is last book sent to humanity, then its commentary will also remain valid until the Day of Judgment since this commentary belongs to the commentator sent by God. Thereby, the siret of the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) becomes even more important in understanding the Quran. The understanding of the Quran and Islam is constructed upon the life, commentary and perception of the Prophet. We need to look into our own lives to see whether or not it is in line with the message and the sunna of the Prophet. Our foremost duty is to apply his message and his sunna into our own lives. Once that is achieved, the world will start viewing us from a new perspective.
